INTRODUCTION

11-modified.png

John Morris SJ, illustrated here, was a 19th century Catholic priest and historian. He was entrusted with the task of investigating the life stories and relics of hundreds of men and women in 16th and 17th century England and Wales. His extensive research notes and correspondence, held at the British Jesuit Archives, are woven into the text of this exhibition.
